Enough

Enough

What’s here is sufficient

Sufficient to amaze me

Sufficient to inspire me

with the wonder of all that is

Somehow, you wanted me

Wanted me to experience all this

a glacial lake forged by ice melt

majestic mountains constructed

when the earth split

rambunctious seas and tidal shifts

magpies nesting in a birch tree

the otter swimming backstroke and free

swans and loons, curlew and chough

and low-slung clouds we know as fairies’ fog

For hundreds of years,

Church Island called out praise

and now I understand why

This is enough
