“In the first few pages I came to ‘Imago Dei’ and was mesmerized. It was some time before I ventured on to the other poems and then I found ‘Are You Strong?’. Two very different but wonderfully rewarding poems.”
Selected Excerpt
Overgrown
My Friend,
You are my confidante
With whom I am not reluctant
To share what lies within.
But at times,
Our well-worn paths
Have overgrown from lack of use.
With ties and vines
That encroach with the passing of time,
And entangle me relentlessly,
Silently.
My Friend,
You though, remain free.
So please use your machete,
Though it may hurt,
To clear the road again.
