Why poetry? To the author, poetry is the sum of observation, mindfulness and prayer. Evensong is the result of a difficult and personal ten-year journey. Eye Sight is a one-year experiment to end self-judgment, embrace freedom and release creativity.

When Chuck Jones received an Oscar for lifetime achievement in 1996, his acceptance speech lasted only 84 seconds. In it, he quoted two life-altering lines from Robert Frost. It took T.H. Gillis some time—pre-internet—to find that Frost poem, but he did within a few months. That discovery lit a latent spark; and, a decade later, T.H. Gillis began writing poetry of his own. Common poetry from a common person.
