Name Tags in Heaven

I hope we wear name tags in heaven

I’m worried I won’t recognize Mom

If she appears to be age thirty-three

Though I like you and know you well

I don’t think I’ll recognize you either

If you’ve bothered to change your clothes

I’ve tried many different ways

But my limited brain finds

New and effective ways to fail

Recognition may take me some time

I hear the lights are bright

And the love feels all around

If we don’t have name tags up there,

Do me a favor, please, and

Reintroduce yourself
